Fire Station Visit

Today we went to the Sandy Springs Fire Station with our Mom's group.  We had an awesome trip. The fire fighters showed us the fire truck, put on all the sirens, raised the ladder, and even had a guy climb all the way to the top.  He was the newbie.  Redon got a hat too!  She loves it, but wants me to hold it instead of wearing it.  Go figure.

Next the newbie put on all his gear for the kids.  

To my surprise, Redon was okay with the way he looked.  She even shook his hand, one of the few.  I think he scared the kids, even sounded like Darth Vader with the air tank on.  "LUKE, I am a Fire Fighter"

Yesterday we went to see Santa at Bass Pro. Redon did great, she was so excited to see Santa. And once in his lap she actually laughed instead of crying. It was so wonderful to have Nana, Grandpa and Laney with us, but we missed Papa, he had to work and couldn't get away.

Redon's 1st batch of Sugar Cookies!

Today we decided to make sugar cookie!! I was excited, wanted to try out the Martha Stewart's recipe. Once I started to look for everything, I realized my kitchen is no where close to being fitted with the proper items, like Martha's. But I did have all the materials, and decided to just make them the old fashion way, without parchment paper or non-stick baking mats. Well since it has been years since I have made sugar cookies or used cookie cutters, trying this with Redon was an extra challenge. But we made it, and had some yummy cookies. Redon was a great helper, and loved playing with flour.

Decorating the Tree

We decorated on Sunday afternoon. We each had a new ornament to put up on the tree. Redon has Princess Tiana, Brandon has a yellow bird, Dyna has tennis balls picture frame (She get a picture frame every year) and I have my yearly Mary's Angels. Grams & Paw Paw were able to join us viva Skype! Redon loved getting to show them all the different ornaments that go one the tree. We had a wonderful time enjoying Christmas, the tree, and spending time with the family. Oh how I love Christmas! Now on to making sugar cookies! YUMMY!

Halloween

Redon went Trick or Treating for her 1st time in Lawrenceville! She did really good at the first house, but the other 4 were more of a knock on the door and run. But she got some candy and even crayons.

Ben and Jerry Day!

Today was Ben and Jerry's free Ice cream day! Woot woot!

It was Redon's first time eating at an ice cream shop and our dear friend Cathy joined us!! Redon was trying so hard to eat her ice cream (sherbet), she got a few bites in before she dumbed the whole thing on the floor. At least it was free!! Then we headed off to the park at the airport. We had a blast, and Redon loves spending time with Cathy.

20 months!

When trying to get Redon to take pictures, she only wanted to watch tv. Must be a princess movie on.

Getting Redon ready, she picked out the dress, I just tried to put some bows in her hair to keep the hair out of her eyes. It is so long, soon she will be able to pull in behind her ear.
