As Brandon and I watched the snow come down last night, a few things went through out heads.
1) This is MUCH more snow that expected.
2) Sweet a snow day!!
3) Why didn't we think to ask Mom and Dad to bring their plastic sled when they dropped of Redon this afternoon. We live need to Piedmont park and a great hill. (next time)
So here is how our day went:
Had to take Dyan out. She still hates the snow and ended up refusing to go "potty" for 28 hours. Boy can our dog hold it. Bladder of steal!

Finally we went outside! We were all ready for an attempt to walk to Piedmont park, but Redon was so excited about the snow that after 2 min. of being in the stroller she was screaming her head of to get out and play. So next stop Federal Reserve! They have a great open area where no one seems to play or even walk on the snow. Don't know if we allowed to, but no one stopped us (second year in a row too)!

What a smile. Redon loved the snow.
|
So I made this large just so everyone could see whats going on. Brandon is standing in snow and Redon is walking on top of the ice layer. (the ice layer can hold 29 lb., good to know) Wish I had gotten a better picture.

After about 30 min. Redon was looking like a red popsicle. We tried to convince her to go inside for a while and we will come back out, once we are warm. But she hated the idea crying, "I want to play in the snow, I am warm here" Too cute. So we scooped her up screaming and kicking and brought her inside. So to make things special, I went on our patio and filled this blue bucket up with snow. Then brought it inside for us to play with in her bathroom. At first I thought about putting the snow in the bathtub, but since Redon wanted to basically roll in the snow; the floor would have to do. With enough towels and the power on, we could handle anything.

There's snow in the bucket dear Redon!

I love their faces, it says everything!
We had a wonderful day and were only able to drag soaking wet Redon away from the snow, because it was lunch time and she was hungry for some mac & cheese.
