Pinterest Crazy!

So Pinterest in some parts has taken over my life.  I may check it more than I check facebook. Which isn't saying like 50 times a day, but at least once or twice.  I love that website.  When I first started Pinterest, I was like eh, but now I am like OMG, how did I live without.  I love having different boards, connecting with friends, and the pictures! If you know me, I have to have pictures. I have like no imagination and need someone else to draw from.  Pretty sure I have never cooked a receipt without a picture or at least eating the food first, nothing sounds worth cooking without a picture to entice me.

Anyway, I use Pinterest for ideas on food, crafts, gifts, things for the girls, kid activities, parties, pretty much anything you can think of.  And usually the ideas turn out AWESOME! (there are always going to be some flops, but don't want to talk about those)

So here are three that I recently have done and love!

Let me start off with OMG, OMG!!  I love caprese salad and this adds some extra yummy to
it.

So easy to make, just cook quinoa and add the makes of a caprese salad.  Simple right?
I made this last Saturday and have decided this is going to be one of my summer salads.

This is like a healthier version of Mac & Cheese.  It was different, but really good.  B absolutly loved it and he is not a big fan of regular Mac & Cheese, especially ones that come in boxes. Re on the other hand liked it till she realized the Mac & Cheese was missing noodles.  Then she didn't like it anymore, she is becoming a picky eater.  I will be calling it something else next time to get it past her.

Above is a picture of what I made.  Used a 9x13 pan and this is all I had left after dinner, about a 1/4th.  That's some good eatting for 3 people!

I made these the night before a family brunch at my parents.  I made bacon and cheese cups, since bacon is one of my favorite brunch items, but who am I kidding, Bacon is an all time favorite food.  I was feeling lazy and used hormel bacon bits, the ones that are moist and yummy. I don't know how healthy they are since there is bacon, cheese and oil, but they sure were good. The cups tasted like bacon, cheese, eggs and hash browns all together.  Re loves these, just can't mention that there is quinoa in them. She calls them mini breakfast cups.

The cups were really easy to make, just stir and scoop into muffin tray. I do have to say they tasted so good fresh out of the oven.  The next morning after reheating, they were still yummy, but just not the same yumminess. Next time I will make these the morning of.

Me and all my craftiness!

Saw this on Pinterest and started laughing out loud.
I know that my craftiness has it's limits, but at least this pic makes me feel good.

Here are some crafts I have been working on for the girls. I got both ideas from pinterest.

Hair bow & Headband frame holder

Just used a frame, fabric, ribbon and hot glue gun.

Once I put all the bows and headbands on.

This was a simple project and super fast with the hot glue gun.  I used a large hanging frame, but once all the bows were up it looks really full. Bet I could have fit a 5th row in. Oh well.  I love the headband holder.  Re is now able to see all her accessories and pick the ones she wants to wear.  Plus adds color to the girls bathroom.

Butterfly clips

I have been learning to crochet lately.  It seems more my style than knitting, even though I love all the different things you can do with knitting.  First up was some easy butterflies.  The pink one is made with a large yarn and came out big. Then got some really small yarn (??) for the blue.  It is the perfect size for a clip or barrette.  We use them on everything, not just hair. Who knew?
