36 Weeks!!

36 Weeks! 

I think I can, I think I can, make it 4 more.

Size of baby:   We measured at the Doctors to see if she was going to be big like Re.  And the results are....YEP we have another big one.  She is currently measuring 6 lb 4 oz. and in the 92%.  Right on schedule to be a 9 lb. baby at 40 weeks. YAY!! Can you hear my excitement?

Movement:   She is stretching so much.  Usually arms and legs at the same time.

Gender & Name:   It's a girl!  No name yet, but wouldn't tell if there was. 

Symptoms:    Still tired.  I am still taking iron, which helped for a little bit, but not much now.

Maternity clothes:    Still fitting into my maternity clothes, even though I feel a lot bigger than I did with Redon. 

Sleep:    Sleeping pills work some times. So some days I get a lot of sleep (meaning 5/6 hours) and some not so much.

Weight gained:  Another 6 lb. UGH!!   Total of 31 lb. At least this is less than I gained with Re.

Food Cravings:  Finally started craving food, but only for 2 days.  All I wanted was egg rolls and sizzling rice soup.  But I got neither and then it passed.  Turns out Chinese Restaurants near us are not open for lunch on Sundays and are closed all day on Mondays.  Just my luck! 

Belly Button out or in:  It is out.

Fun moments from this past month:    Had a great Father's day, got to see the Braves retire Smoltz's number and B was finally able to join is on a trip to the Zoo!  We had a blast.

What I am looking forward to:   Getting ready for baby and all the last min. details. Plus special one on one activities with Re before baby.  I love Mama and Re time.

Reflections on the past month:   I love watching Re get excited about baby coming.  Watching her talk about the baby and all the ways she is going to help out, she really is an amazing girl!  So blessed!

32 Weeks!

We are at the Beach this week for Vacation!!

32 Weeks, only 8 more to go!

Size of baby:   Almost 4 lbs. and 17 inchs

Movement:   She is stretching a lot. 

Gender & Name:   It's a girl!  No name yet, but wouldn't tell if there was.

Symptoms:    Still tired, and having a little back pain. Found out I have low iron, so taking pills for that.

Maternity clothes:    We are in full maternity clothes. I got a new swimsuit and top for the beach.  This baby is so low that a lot of my clothes are too short this time around. Or maybe the just shrunk.

Sleep:    Was recommended at last visit to take sleeping pills every now and then. It really seems to help me sleep through the night. As long as I don't go to bed too early.

Weight gained:  Yay only 6 lb. UGH!!   Total of 25 lb.

Food Cravings:  Still no real food cravings, I am not even craving more of what I like. Guess the baby is restricting my stomach 

Belly Button out or in:  It popped a little, enough to show through my clothes.

Fun moments from this past month:    Celebrated our 1st anniversary, more Braves games, and a beach vacation.  May has been great!

What I am looking forward to:   Spending lots of time with Re before baby.

Reflections on the past month:   Vacation with just the 3 of us was awesome and way better than we ever expected, can't believe we just had our first one.  

28 Weeks

28 weeks!

Size of baby:   Measures in the 65%, I can feel another big baby coming on.

Movement:   Tons of movement

Gender & Name:   It's a girl!  No name yet, but wouldn't tell if there was.

Symptoms:    Tired and insomnia, not a great combo

Maternity clothes:    We are in full maternity clothes, except for when I wear B's shorts

Sleep:    Same as before.  Insomnia at 4 am to 6 am.

Weight gained:  April is always a big month, 8 lb. Total of 19 lb.

Food Cravings:   Same, salty and sweet.  It was my birthday month, so cakes and other yummies to eat

Belly Button out or in:  At the verge of popping out.

Fun moments from this past month:    Celebrated my 30th birthday, Braves season opener, and had B home the whole month!

What I am looking forward to:   Vacation at the end of May!  Much needed and we will get a couple days of just B, Re and I.

Reflections on the past month:   I love my family!

24 weeks!

We have made it to 24 weeks!! 

Only 16 more to go! So here is an update on where we are.

Size of baby:   a foot long +/-, right on schedule for 24 weeks.

Movement:   Lots of movement, baby is stretching.

Gender & Name:   It's a girl!  No name yet. 

Symptoms:    Not really, still tired a lot.

Maternity clothes:    Have moved to maternity pants/shorts.  Still trying to wear my normal tops, but it wont last long. 

Sleep:    The insomnia is back, but hoping with more walking I will just be too tired.  Still waking up from 4 to 6.

Weight gained:  Woot woot, only 3 pounds this month, for a total of 11.

Food Cravings:   Same, salty and sweet.  Ate a whole thing of brownies while B was gone.  Just glad all the girl scout cookies are gone.  They never last long.

Belly Button out or in:  In, but it is early.  Just wait.

Fun moments from this past week:    Re spent the night at Nana and Grandpa's to give me a night off.  Re wanted baby to go with her, too cute.  Was able to have a nice girls night out!

What I am looking forward to:   More sisterly love.  Adorable clothes and photos!

Reflections on the past week:   So grateful to have lots of family close by.  It really is helpful when I need a break or just a nap.

It's a Girl!

We found out today, we are blessed to be having another baby girl!  YAY!  Girls rule!

Re is excited, but in the "I told you so" kind of way.  She knew since we told her at 10 weeks. B is as giddy as a proud Papa can be.

At the Doc's everything looked good and baby is doing great. Breeched at the moment, but things can change (I hope)!

Found these awesome shirts at babies-r-us.  I was going to make some, but ran out of time. Turns out the store had exactly what I wanted the whole time.  Lucky me!  Re loves her's and wants to wear it everywhere. What a great big sister!!

20 Weeks!!

We have made it to the half way point!  YAY!!  

20 weeks!

So with being half way, figure a little up date on all the fun stuff that comes along with pregnancy.

Size of baby:   about 1 lb.

Movement:   Tons, more at night.  But that could be because I am finally sitting still.

Gender & Name:   Next week we find out.  No name yet.

Symptoms:    None lately, still tired a lot.

Maternity clothes:    Only a couple pairs of pants, usually still wear my normal clothes.

Sleep:    Catching up on sleep. The insomnia seems to have let off the last couple of days.  Hope it stays that way.   The wide awake from 4 to 6 or 6:30, doesn't really work with a kid who gets up at 7am.

Weight gained:  Ugh, 8 lbs in one visit. And we haven't even received out girl scout cookies.  I better start walking more.

Food Cravings:   Salty and sweets, but I try to eat fruits instead.  I am so not good at eating healthy.

Belly Button out or in:  In, but it is early.  Just wait.

Fun moments from this past week:    Re is really starting to show her love for her baby.  She wants to hug the baby every night before bed.  It is so adorable.

What I am looking forward to:   More sisterly love.  

Reflections on the past week:   Missing B a lot, since he has been away for over a week.  He does so much for us, and it is easy to see when he is not here.  We are so lucky to have such a great man in our lives.
